Banario, who started training last week, was advised to take a three-day rest before he plunges to training anew as he prepares for the August 21 bout at the Davao City Grand Oasis Convention Center.
"Since we started hard training last week, medyo gumaganda na yung kondisyon nya kaso medyo naulanan siya nung nagtraining kami earlier this week kaya trinangkaso," said Team Lakay coach Mark Sangiao.
"But he will be okay this weekend and hopefully we could resume hard training again on Monday or Tuesday," Sangiao assured.
This will be the second time both fighters will square off in the lightweight division after Banario snatched the crown in last April's URCC encounter dubbed "Collision" as one of the co-main event of the evening via a rear naked choke in the eight-minute mark of the second round scheduled for two rounds.
Banario's win is the fourth weight class championship belt of Team Lakay.
Both fighters were undefeated prior to their April match. However, Banario came out with a big win for his fourth consecutive win, all on submission.
Manguray, a dentist by profession has four wins, all on technical knockout with only the loss against Banario marring his record.

"Our game right now is to counter the counter kasi sigurado yun yung magiging plan nila for us," added Sangiao.
The Team Lakay coach also said despite Banario catching the flu, his conditioning and his skills are far better this time than his first encounter against Manguray.
