The multi-awarded driver of the year topped the Time Attack event using the Mark Young prepared Hornitex-CRX on Yokohama A050 rubber and eventually took home the Best Time of the Day award where he also ran an HKS prepared Nissan Skyline GTR 35 clocking an impressive 1:08.2 second run.
“Both cars ran well today and taking home a first and a third place in one division is fantastic. The Mark Young HKS-GTR did very well considering it is almost stock and not really built for the short track layout we used in Clark today,” Anton said after his winning runs.
Team owner Mark Young was highly pleased with the team’s victory and quickly credited the preparation for the results.
“We worked very hard for this race since last month and today that made all the difference,” Young quipped.
Anton also dedicated his win to his late father-in-law Engr. Salvador Navarrete who passed away last May.
“He was always there to support my racing and career, I miss him dearly,” Anton said.
Anton’s team is backed by Mark Young, Yokohama, Castrol Edge, Hornitex and Emperor Motorsports. Roderick Osis
